USA v UK – Who will win today’s battle?

USA v UK – Who will win today’s battle?

Ok. Hands up. I am the littlest bit drunk, so I might be being mischievous. USA and UK are tied at 18 views each on my blog for today. USA, are you going to let the puritanical buggers from the UK tie with you? Really? UK, are you going to let all that tea they chucked in the Boston harbour die in vain? Now, I am not advocating all out war between the two nations just to get some more traction on my blog but… I am suggesting all historical animosities can be resolved by either the USA or UK coming out on top of the most views for my blog today. No take backs, no fingers crossed. Whatever way this pans out, it is for ever binding.

Good luck all,

David.

P.S Mexico, Netherlands and Bahrain, you are low on the scoreboard, but you can still turn this around.

A Little Patch of Heaven – Going self-sufficient.

A Little Patch of Heaven – Going self-sufficient.

We had a visit today from Jacqueline as she wanted some of my sweet, sweet harvest of Aloe Vera plants. She is a really interesting person. She is going self-sufficient and trying to make everything herself. And I mean everything. She made her own chicken coup, chicken run, grows everything from scratch, makes her own oats etc.

In all honesty, I am suffering from deep gardening envy. I have an indoor garden for sure, but do I have chickens? Do I? No. I do not. One thing I did learn was that extraneous shoots or leaves on a tomato plant are called ‘suckers’, so naturally, I waited till I was alone and then cut them with scissors saying ‘Take that sucka.’

What do you think of going self-sufficient? What would you grow? And if you could have one farm yard animal, what would it be? I would have a goat. No reason for this. I just like goats.

Take care buddies,

David.
